Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how BxSoftware AS («we», «us», or «our»), a company in the Visma group, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the BxMobile application («the App»). BxMobile is a warehouse management system (WMS) application designed for use on ruggedized mobile devices in logistics and inventory operations.

By using BxMobile, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

What Data We Collect

BxMobile collects and processes the following categories of data:

Authentication & Account Data

  • Username and login credentials (used to connect to your organization’s BxEngine server)
  • Company code (multi-tenant identifier)

Device Information

  • Device model, operating system version and app version
  • Network connectivity status (Wi-Fi/mobile data)
  • Device identifiers for license validation

Operational Data

  • Barcode scan data, inventory transactions, picking lists, and stock count data processed through the App
  • This data is transmitted to and stored on your organization’s BxEngine server

Error & Diagnostics Data

  • Crash reports and error logs (collected via Sentry)
  • These may include device type, OS version, app state at time of error, and your company identifier

Camera

  • The App accesses the device camera for barcode scanning purposes. Users may chose to take images and store images on order documents etc. All camera access is user triggered

How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: Connecting to your organization’s warehouse management server and processing logistics operations
  • Authentication: Verifying your identity and authorizing access to your organization’s data
  • License management: Validating that the device is properly licensed
  • Error reporting and stability: Diagnosing crashes and improving app reliability
  • App updates: Delivering new features and security patches
  • Product improvements

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with third-party services such as:

  • Your organization: All operational data (scans, inventory transactions) is transmitted to and controlled by your employer’s BxEngine server
  • Sentry (Functional Software Inc.): Crash and error diagnostic data for stability monitoring
  • Twilio/SendGrid: Email delivery (e.g., password recovery, order confirmations)
  • Google Cloud / Microsoft Azure: Hosting infrastructure
  • Visma group companies: As required for license management, security monitoring, and support

We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and backend servers.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., under GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Data portability

Data Deletion

You or your organization’s administrator can request deletion of your personal data by contacting support@bxsoftware.no. Upon account deactivation, authentication data associated with your profile will be removed.

Children’s Privacy

BxMobile is a business-to-business application intended for use by employees in warehouse and logistics operations. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated «Last updated» date.
